Dr Carlos Vargas-SilvaSenior Researcher

Carlos previously worked at the International Migration Institute (IMI), also at Oxford. His research interests include the impacts of immigration on receiving countries and the link between migration and economic development in sending countries. Carlos has been a consultant in migration related projects for many international agencies including the World Bank, European Commission, Asian Development Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank and the United Nations. His edited book on research methods in migration studies (Edward Elgar Publishing) was published in 2012.
